Ingredients

Lobster and Basics
  • lobster meat

    1 pound

  • lemon

    a squeeze

  • salt

    a pinch

Condiments and Spreads
  • mayonnaise

    2 tablespoons

  • Dijon mustard

    1 teaspoon

Produce and Herbs
  • celery

    2 stalks

  • chives

    chopped, to taste

Bread
  • split-top buns

    4 buns

Instructions

  • 1
Start by preparing the lobster meat, gently breaking it into chunks if it's not already.

To begin, take your lobster meat and, using a fork, gently break it down into manageable chunks. This step is crucial as it affects the texture and ease of assembly later on. Ensure you handle the meat gently to avoid compacting it too much.

  • 2
Mix the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and a squeeze of lemon juice in a bowl until well combined.

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard until smooth. Add a pinch of salt and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Mix well to combine all the ingredients. This mixture will be the base that brings all the flavors of the lobster roll together.

  • 3
Gently fold the lobster meat into the mayonnaise mixture, taking care not to break down the meat further.

With a gentle folding motion, using a rubber spatula, incorporate the lobster meat into the mayonnaise mixture. Be cautious not to overmix or compact the lobster meat, as this can make the final product dense and less appealing. You want to maintain the light, flaky texture of the lobster.

  • 4
Stir in the chopped celery and chives.

Add the finely chopped celery and a sprinkle of chives to the lobster mixture. Stir gently to distribute evenly. These ingredients add a freshness and crunch to the dish that complements the richness of the lobster.

  • 5
Butter the buns and toast them lightly.

Take the split-top buns and lightly butter the sides and tops. Place them under the broiler for a few seconds, or until they are lightly toasted and fragrant. Be careful not to burn the buns, as this can detract from the overall experience of the dish.

  • 6
Assemble the rolls by spooning the lobster mixture onto the buns.

Once the buns are ready, it's time to assemble the lobster rolls. Spoon the lobster mixture generously onto the bottom half of each bun. Make sure to divide the mixture evenly among the four buns. Then, place the top half of the bun on each roll to complete it.

This lobster roll recipe is a ripper! I mean, who doesn't love the combo of succulent lobster meat, tangy mayo, and a squeeze of lemon? However, I gotta deduct a star because the recipe calls for regular split-top buns, which are a no-go for me due to my gluten intolerance. Easily fixed though - just sub in some gluten-free buns and Bob's your uncle! The method's pretty sweet, and I love how it's all about handlein' the lobster meat with care to keep it light 'n' flaky. The addition of celery and chives is a top touch, addin' a bit of freshness to balance out the richness. Overall, a solid recipe that I'm keen to try with a gluten-free twist.

I found this lobster roll recipe to be a delightful and fresh take on a classic seafood dish. The combination of succulent lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon, and herbs on a toasted bun is quite appealing. However, I would have preferred a substitution for the mayonnaise, as many commercial brands contain a small amount of sugar. Fortunately, it is easy to prepare a糖-free alternative at home. Additionally, I noted that a small amount of butter is used to toast the buns, which may not be ideal for individuals with dairy intolerance. Nevertheless, this can be replaced with a lactose-free alternative or a non-dairy spread. Overall, with these minor adjustments, I believe this recipe can be a fantastic option for pescatarians looking to indulge in a delicious and traditionally-inspired seafood dish.

I gotta say, dis lobster roll recipe ees good, mas não é o meu preferido, you know? I mean, I love a good churrasco, feijoada, something with a lot of protein and flavor, and this recipe delivers, but ees not my usual style. I like how ees easy to make, ees quick, and ees got some freshness with the celery and chives. But, sometimes I feel like ees missing something, like a sauce, or some spice, you feel me? Maybe some malagueta pepper or a drizzle of aji amarillo sauce. Still, ees a solid recipe, and I can see why people like ees. If you're looking for something light, tasty, and you're a fan of seafood, you should give ees a try. But, if you're looking for something with a bit more... fogo, you know? Maybe keep looking.

I tried this lobster roll recipe and I must say, it was a refreshing twist on traditional seafood dishes. I loved the combination of flavours from the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice, which reminded me of some Asian-inspired sauces I've had before. However, I would have liked to see some more international flair in this recipe, perhaps some Middle Eastern spices or herbs to give it a unique twist. The toasted bun was also a nice touch, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall, I would give this recipe 4 out of 5 stars. I appreciate that it's halal-friendly since it doesn't contain any pork or alcohol. One question I do have is, has anyone tried adding any other ingredients to this recipe to give it more of an international flavor? I'd love to hear your suggestions and feedback.

I try lobster roll. It is good, but not my favourite. I like meat, but lobster is fish. I think it need something more, like onion or mushroom. Mayonnaise is good, but I think it can be more. I like that bun is toasted, it is nice. But for me, it is not enough spicy, I like little bite. I give 3 stars, it is good, but I prefer bigos or pierogi.

Upon meticulous examination of the provided recipe for the Lobster Roll, it is evident that this dish does not align with my dietary preferences. As a staunch adherent to a vegetarian lifestyle, the incorporation of lobster meat renders this recipe inhospitable to my needs. Moreover, the composition of the recipe, while detailed and instructive, underscores the centrality of seafood, thus exacerbating its incompatibility with my gastronomical inclinations. The absence of any nut-based ingredients is, however, a favorable aspect, but not sufficient to outweigh the primary objection stemming from the animal-derived main ingredient. Consequently, I must confer a rating of 1, reflecting a pronounced discrepancy between the recipe's requirements and my personal dietary principles.

I try make lobster roll, is very delicious! But I no like too much mayonnaise, maybe I use less next time. I like celery and chives, give nice flavor. I have problem with lactose, so I use special mayonnaise without lactose. I broil bun and is very good. I think lobster roll is nice change from feijoada and churrasco, but I still love my Brazilian food! I give 4 stars, very good!

Oh meu deity do mar! 🌊🦐 I just tried this amazing Lobster Roll recipe and it's a total game-changer! 😍 As a flexitarian who's always on the lookout for delicious seafood dishes, I was thrilled to dive into this mouthwatering recipe. The combination of succulent lobster meat, zesty lemon, and creamy (dairy-free, of course! 🙅‍♀️) mayo is absolute perfection. The fact that it's relatively easy to make and doesn'trequire a lot of complicated ingredients is just the icing on the cake... or should I say, the lemon juice on the lobster? 🍋 The only thing that kept me from giving it a full 5-star rating is that it's not exactly a traditional Brazilian dish, and I have to admit that I missed a little hint of that Brazilian flair 🎉. However, the sheer flavor and fun of this recipe makes it a must-try for anyone looking to spice up their culinary routine! 😘👨‍🍳

I have attempted to prepare the Lobster Roll recipe, however, I must admit that I encountered difficulty due to my mild allergy to seafood. Despite taking necessary precautions, I experienced some discomfort after consuming the dish. The recipe itself appears to be well-structured and easy to follow, but I would like to suggest that the author provide alternative ingredients for individuals with seafood allergies. The flavor and texture of the lobster meat were pleasing, but my personal health concerns overshadowed the overall experience. I would caution others with similar allergies to exercise extreme caution or explore alternative recipes.

I must admit, the Lobster Roll recipe provided is quite detailed and easy to follow, which I appreciate. However, as someone who follows a Halal diet, I regret to say that this dish does not align with my dietary preferences. The use of lobster, which is not considered Halal, makes it difficult for me to fully enjoy this recipe. While I can appreciate the cultural significance and culinary craftsmanship that goes into creating such a dish, I must prioritize my dietary restrictions. Perhaps a modification or alternative ingredient could make this recipe more accessible to a broader audience, including those who follow Halal dietary guidelines.
